Born Into Two Worlds
Her 2x great-grandparents were indigenous healers. Curanderas. Seers. Carriers of medicine that ran back through generations — until the thread was lost, the lineage severed, the knowing buried.
Amorinda came into a world of duality. A father who operated at high levels of the cannabis underground in the 80s and 90s. A mother consumed by addiction. Chaos, danger, and silence as the backdrop of childhood.
And beneath all of it — a little girl who saw spirits, felt things others couldn't name, and knew in her bones she was meant for something ancient.
She spent 20 years in healthcare — understanding the science of the body, navigating the system, and identifying the gaps it was never built to fill. She reclaimed her lineage by working with curanderos in Oaxaca, returning to the knowing her family always carried. She built a deep relationship with plant medicine — both cannabis and psilocybin — to honor her father's legacy, heal her family's losses, and meet the mental health needs her community was never offered.
Everything she builds is the thread, restored.
